OBA Music is a diverse community of musicians from Brazil, Denmark, and beyond, united by a passion for Brazilian music. We come together to create, organize, and celebrate through parties, events, and concerts.
WHO IS BEHIND OBA?
Marcela Ferreira plays a vital role in the Brazilian community in Denmark, connecting and empowering people through music. As the lead singer and composer of Bossa Nova Club, she preserves and shares Brazilian musical heritage while also supporting the creation of new bands like Sambazin and Forró Novo. She is also a member of O Baile, a unique Brazilian music party band that brings people together.
Marcela organizes Brazilian Nights at Hotel Zoku, Jam sessions, and helps book venues for musicians, strengthening the local music scene. Her involvement in the Brazilian women's networking group and the Brazilian Events group on WhatsApp highlights her dedication to community building. She has successfully organized and fundraised for events like Distortion and brought the community together at Nakke Festival 2024.
Beyond music, Marcela supports Sagrado Feminino, a spiritual gathering for women, and collaborates with AEBD (Associação de Empreendedores Brasileiros na DK). Through her cultural, musical, and spiritual initiatives—especially with OBA—Marcela continues to foster a strong sense of belonging and keep Brazilian culture thriving in Denmark.
